Property Tax Payment Season has Closed
The deadline to pay property taxes for the 2025 tax year, was Friday, October 23, 2026, by 4:30pm C.S.T.
Property owners whose taxes were sold may redeem their taxes by paying the delinquent taxes, accrued interest, and applicable fees at the Kane County Clerk's Office.
Beginning November 16, 2026, please contact the office of the Kane County Clerk's Tax Extension for information regarding the redemption process and payment of your delinquent taxes.

USPS Postmark Change
The U.S. Postal Service is implementing postmark changes effective December 24, 2025.
Under the new rule, a postmark will reflect the date an envelope is processed by an automated USPS sorting machine rather than when dropped off in a mailbox or at a post office counter. This new process will reflect a 1-2 day delay for postmarks.
Critical for deadlines, it is recommended to go to a USPS counter and request a manual postmark.
