2026 Kane County Tax Sale & Tax Buyer Information
Kane County will hold it annual Real Estate and Mobile Home Tax Sale on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Tax Buyer Registration runs from Wednesday, September 11, 2026 to Thursday, October 9, 2026.
Tax Buyer Registration forms are on the Treasurers website.
Note, if you are a first-time buyer, you must use certified funds for your application deposits and the day of the sale for the taxes you plan on purchasing.
The day of the Tax Sale, check in begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends promptly at 9 a.m.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
You must be physically present to participate in the tax sale.
Do your homework. It is assumed that all buyers are thoroughly familiar with the Tax Sale procedures as outlined in the Illinois Complied Statutes. The Treasurer and his staff will not give legal advice or counsel.
